I had a great opportunity to talk to Alex Sparks on his podcast “Blind American” where he interviews people who live with retinitis pigmentosa and give them a platform to share their experience and inspirational stories. I met Alex on a Retinitis Pigmentosa Facebook support group and immediately we found alignment on our mission to help more people inflicted with this disease. I shared my personal experience with RP and how my encounters with the medical system brought me to become a scientist, patient advocate, and entrepreneur for the community.
